The SAA7220 is a stereo interpolating digital filter designed for the Compact Disc Digital Audio system. For descriptive purposes, the SAA7220 is referred to as the B-chip and the SAA7210 as the A-chip. Features • 16-bit serial data input (two's complement) • Interpolated data replaces erroneous data samples • -12 dB attenuation via the active LOW attenuatio.

• Two identical finite impulse response transversal filters each with a sampling rate of four times that

• 12 S data transfer between SAA7210, SAA7220 and 16-bit dual DAC (TOA 1541)
