8-BIT SERIAL-IN, PARALLEL-OUT SHIFT REGISTER The MC54/74F164 is a high-speed 8-bit serial-in/parallel-out shift register. Serial data is entered through a 2-input AND gate synchronous with the LOW-to-HIGH transition of the clock.
