Over Voltage (OV), Under Voltage (UV), Over Current (OC), Short Circuit (SC), Over Temperature (OT) protection functions for managing Li-Ion /Polymer, 3 cell battery packs for power-tools, notebook PC and UPS applications etc. LN8953’s over current protection has high accuracy voltage detection (±10mV). Thus LN8953 can use lower current-sense resistors (such as 2.5mΩ, 5mΩ) to reduce power dissipation and thermal issues while maintaining high accuracy current detection.
